TogetherWell, a nonprofit organization I volunteer for that is dedicated to reducing mental health stigma and offering online mental health services, stands strong today due to its amazing community of volunteers. They wanted a small way to celebrate their people.
The solution came in the form of icon “badges”. Volunteers can collect badges over time from reaching milestones and making achievements, which would then be displayed in each volunteer’s profile on BetterImpact, a volunteer management software TogetherWell uses.

Below are the set of icons I created. All the colors are sourced from TogetherWell’s color palette.
The icon set is characterized by organic shapes and a balanced mixture of sharp angles with curved edges.
The badges would be displayed on each volunteer’s profile on BetterImpact’s homepage!
Finally, some icons have numerical variations due to sequential achievements. For example, the calendar variations rewards the number of months volunteered with TogetherWell.

TogetherWell just wanted static icons, but I decided to animate a few of the icons as a side project to improve my motion graphic skills and to get more familiar with After Effects. It was a great way to add a more creative and fun flare!
